It’s being reported that comedian and Host Whoopi Goldberg is about to return for another season of the FOX hit Glee! Check out the article below from Hollywood Reporter:
Whoopi Goldberg is returning to Fox’s Glee.
After booking a pivotal multiple-episode role on Season 3 of the Fox musical, the View co-host is poised to recur on the upcoming fourth year of the series, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.
Goldberg — who will be billed as a special guest star — first appeared late last season as New York Academy of Dramatic Arts dean Carmen Tibideaux, who ultimately had Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt’s (Chris Colfer) fate in her hands after both applied to the East Coast university. After botching her audition, Rachel appealed to Carmen, who ultimately granted the aspiring diva admittance to the school, while Kurt — despite nailing his audition — was overlooked.
Also returning for recurring roles in Season 4 are The Glee Project season one winners Samuel Larsen and Alex Newell, who won seven- and two-episode arcs, respectively, last year. Larsen plays the religious Joe Hart, while Newell plays Wade/Unique, a likely McKinley High transfer who is poised to join New Directions if the new season four trailer is any indication. They’ll be joined by newly minted Glee Project season two winner Blake Jenner, who will first enter the Ohio side of the series in the fifth episode of the season.
Goldberg is repped by WME; Larsen is with SDB Partners; Newell with CESD.
Glee‘s fourth season returns at 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, on Fox.
