Posted Oct 10, 2014

Kevin Hart Lebron JamesAccording to our sources, we hear that the new Kevin Hart and Lebron James film titled Ballers that has everyone waiting for is possibly set for filming next summer after the current NBA season gets underway.

It was reported a couple for weeks ago that Lebron James was about to put all of his media ventures on hold (films and television projects that weren’t already filmed) as he was transitioning to a new city (since he recently signed with Cleveland) and he wanted to re-focus.

Now, our sources tell us that James is jumping back in the saddle and is looking forward to filming next summer.

The basketball comedy for Universal Pictures and Imagine Entertainment will be produced by Brian Grazer and Michael Rosenberg and will be co-written by Hart along with his scripting teammates Joey Wells, Chris Spencer and Harry Ratchford.

The new film is about a Hart’s character who lives in the shadow of his NBA superstar brother (James), but gets a chance to prove himself as his own really good ball player when he and some pals attend a weekend fantasy basketball camp in Miami. When they do, things start to spiral out of control and as you can imagine the funny really begins.

James will be exec producer on the film along with Maverick Carter, Kim Roth and Hart.
