SNL alum Chris Rock returned to his old stomping grounds to host for the fourth time on Saturday — and kicked off the show with a scorching monologue aimed at a variety of targets.
As part of a no holds barred seven-minute opener, Rock went after President-elect Donald Trump, President Joe Biden, Elon Musk, and even accused murderer Luigi Mangione.
“Everybody’s fixated on how good looking this guy looks,” Rock said. “If he looked like Jonah Hill, no one would care. They’d have already given him the chair.”
The famed comic went on to recount Donald Trump’s 2024 highlights‚ before firing a cutting jab.
“Trump had a good year, man,” Rock said. “Trump’s a survived an assassination attempt…Won the presidency again by winning the popular vote. Was just named Time Man of the Year. You know, it could happen to a nicer guy.”
Rock added, “the Menendez Brothers … getting out of jail just in time to get deported. Trump is going to deport their ass.”
But Rock predicted Trump’s second term would be different because of the presence of Elon Musk — who the comic referred to as “the richest African-American in the world.”
And Rock took on the current president, Joe Biden, as well — for pardoning his son Hunter Biden.
“I gotta hand it to Joe, man,” Rock said. “You know, he don’t move as fast as he used to. He don’t talk as fast as he used to. But that middle finger still works, boy.”
