Wanda Sykes Comes To Cincinnati!

Comic Wanda Sykes is coming to the Aronoff Center’s Procter & Gamble Hall in December.

Sykes, known for her witty stand-up and television and film roles, will perform at 8 p.m. Dec. 11. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.

Her first HBO comedy special, “Wanda Sykes – Sick and Tired,” was nominated for a 2007 Primetime Emmy. Her second special for HBO – “I’ma Be Me,” was also nominated for two Primetime Emmy awards in 2010.

Sykes tackles a variety of social and personal topics in her specials, from the racial profiling to gay cruises to being a new mom. She also won a 2010 GLAAD Award for promoting a good image of equal rights for gays and lesbians.

Her television credits include “Chris Rock Show,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Alpha House” and “New Adventures of Old Christine.” She featured in such films as “Evan Almighty,” “Monster-In-Law,” “My Super Ex-Girlfriend,” “Pootie Tang” and “Down to Earth.”
