We just discovered that new actor and rapper Bow Wow is starting to add more roles to his résumé! After appearances in Entourage and a starring role in Lottery Ticket we just discovered that he will star in Tyler Perry’s new film titled Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Big Happy Family.
We hear that he will also star with Loretta Devin, (his co-star in the new film Lottery Ticket) comedian Rodney Perry, and Isaiah Mustafa (the Old Spice guy who secured the role awhile ago and was given the part by Perry during his appearance on Oprah.)
The film is adapted from one of Tyler Perry’s many stage plays, which centers on the life of a middle-aged single mother named Miss Shirley (to be played by Devine), who has just received a diagnosis of terminal cancer. With the help of Madea, she assembles her grown children (and their significant others) for one final reunion, during which loyalties are tested and unpleasant truths are spilled.
Devine and Bow Wow will play mother and son, while Mustafa will be brother-in-law.
Lionsgate will release Madea’s Big Happy Family on April 22, 2011.
