Tyler Perry Already Ramping Up New Comedy Film Titled 'Single Mom's Club' To Shoot Next Month!

Posted Oct 17, 2012

It looks like the Tyler Perry train is not slowing down anytime soon, just like he told the room of reporters at the Alex Cross junket last week. The funny thing is no one in the room thought that he meant he was looking ahead to another project this fast.

What are we talking about you ask? Well, news was released earlier on Tuesday (with the exclusive from Variety) that Perry has jumped on board a new comedy project titled Single Mom’s Club which we hear is to begin filming next month. According to reports, this film is going to be distributed by none other than Lionsgate which has done the majority of his films in the past.

Oh yeah, and like many of his other films, Perry will write, direct, produce, and star in the film. We hear that the film centers on a group of single mothers from all different backgrounds, who are brought together because of an incident at the school their children attend, leading to the creation of a support group that helps all of them overcome personal obstacles.

No other word on the film about this, but our sources say that Madea will make an appearance. We are waiting on confirmation on that as Perry stated at the Alex Cross junket that he was trying to put that character behind him, but he could have been just putting the media off. You never know with him.

Anyway, principal photography is scheduled to begin next month in Atlanta, as Alex Cross opens this Friday in theaters nationwide.

Up next for Perry is The Marriage Counselor, and We The Peeples.
