The ‘Hitman: Agent 47’ Movie Review!

Posted Aug 21, 2015

The new film Hitman Agent 47, starring Rubert Friend, Ciaràn Hinds, Hannah Ware and Zachary Qunito is about Katia (Ware) who is seeking her father Litvenko (Hinds) who happens to be a scientist who successfully invented the process of creating the first super human. As it turns out, the super human happens to be Agent 47 (Friend) who we discover has the ability to move quicker, faster, slightly stronger and has no emotions. He doesn’t even feel tradition pain when it is inflicted upon him which makes him the perfect assassin.

With the successful completion of the super human, Litvenko realizes what the world could become if more were made in Friend’s image, so he disappears. Litvenko’s employer wants to keep the creation of the super humans going and as you expected add improvements.

This eventually leads to the company trying to find where Litvenko disappeared to by trying to find his daughter Katia and have her lead them to him. Agent 47 is given an assignment and without giving too much away he accepts and completes with the help of a surprising source.

Overall, I thought the Hitman: Agent 47 was a wonderfully made film. There was a great story, combined with some amazing action sequences and ended with a surprising twist; which I loved. Actors Friend and Ware worked very well together keeping me at the edge of my seat always wondering what was going to happen next. That alone is worth the price of admission for me.
