We just discovered a new comedy series is on the horizon; The Chocolate Sundaes Comedy Show which is set to premiere on the Showtime Network!
The show, Executive Produced by Pookie Wigington, has a history in Hollywood as it has been a comedy show that has showcased up and coming comedians and sketches for years at the world famous Laugh Factory on Sunday nights, hence the title Chocolate Sundaes.
It has even been the place where many established comedians have stopped by to hit the stage and on any given Sunday you can see comedians such as Mike Epps, Chris Tucker, Dave Chappelle, Kevin Hart or Katt Williams just to name a few.
Over the years the hosts for the Sunday nights have ranged from comedians Chris Spencer to David Arnold, to the newest hosts Esua McGraw and Ron G., while many other comedians have been guest hosts during the tenure as comedy fans who frequent can never know what to expect.
Fast forward to today and the event has circumvented all of the talent that has graced the stage over the years to launch a series for Showtime. The show will be hosted by comedic actor Tommy Davidson (of In Living Color fame) and will present a different look at a comedy show as they will not only leverage the show on stand up, but will also put an equal amount of stage time to sketch comedy performances produced in front of a live audience.
The Chocolate Sundaes Comedy Show will star comedians Gerald Kelly, Isiah Kelly, Eric Blake, Donte Barrett, Samson Crouppen, RT Steckel, Arvin Mitchell, Darmirra Brunson and many, many, more. Look for the series premiere Thursday February 7th at 10PM.
