Jay Leno stopped by for tonight’s taping to surprise Arsenio Hall with the announcement that CBS Television Distribution renewed The Arsenio Hall Show for a second season. (The show had a two-year deal with the stations led by Tribune Broadcasting, so the pickup of the syndicated late-night talker not a shocker). It marks Leno’s first TV appearance since departing The Tonight Show on February 7.
Arsenio debuted September 9. “Actually, on the second season, I’m gonna be hosting — they didn’t tell you that part,” Leno joked after sneaking up on his former rival.
