According to our sources, we hear that Steve Harvey, Katt Williams and Jay Pharoah are all in discussions to join the new Malcolm Lee directed film Best Man Wedding.
Our sources state the Steve Harvey is in negotiations to play Quentin’s Dad, a role played by Terrence Howard. We hear that Katt is to play a character named Dorian Burroughs, who is supposed to be the comedy and one of the Grooms men and related to Shelby (played by Melissa De Sousa). Jay Pharoah is to play the younger brother of Harper (played by Taye Diggs).
The new film, The Best Man Wedding, is set to be the third film in the comedy/drama franchise that follows the exploits of Harper, his wife Robin, his best friend Lance, (who is a pro athlete), Jordan- Harper’s former almost-lover (and in media as a top level exec) and the rest of their friends.
No official word yet of what the film will be about, but as in the title there will be a wedding. Who’s getting married is the question and rumors are running wild that Quentin is going to marry Shelby, but we can’t confirm that.
The film franchise stars Taye Diggs, Nia Long, Morris Chestnut, Sanaa Lathan, Harold Perrineau, Terrence Howard, Regina Hall, and more and is expected to hit the theaters in 2016.
The film is also set to be written and directed by Malcolm Lee.
