Madison, Wis (September 9, 2013) – American Family Insurance announces its live stand-up comedy show, Stand Up For Family (SUFF), hosted by comedian Bill Bellamy, will make its national broadcast debut on Centric this fall. For the past four years, Bill Bellamy, who is best known as the host of TV One’s Bill Bellamy’s Who’s Got Jokes?, NBC’s Last Comic Standing, and Centric’s Mr. Box Office, has hosted the SUFF comedy showcases.
Taped in front of a live audience, Stand Up For Family features top level comedians performing must-see material and sharing hilarious stories of family oriented situations and everyday life.
On October 6, Centric, today’s 24-hour music and entertainment channel for African-American and multicultural viewers, will broadcast the first of two SUFF 30-minute specials. The first special to air is from the 2012 SUFF live event showcasing the comedy of Tony Rock, Dean Edwards, Felipe Esparza and Gary Owen. And on November 10, a second 30-minute show, featuring content from their 2013 comedy event, will debut. This episode will feature hilarious performances by TV and Radio personality Rickey Smiley, star of TBS’s Deon Cole’s Black Box, Deon Cole and Latino Comedian Johnny Sanchez.
