He doesn’t play the saxophone like Bill Clinton did on the Arsenio Hall show (sunglasses in tow) many years ago, but current president Barack Obama did hold his own, likely trumping acts by previous presidents, when he essentially took over “The Colbert Report” last night, after a challenge by the host, insisting that no one else could do his job, as only Colbert would.
“Stephen, you’ve been taking a lot of shots at my job. I’ve decided to go ahead and take a shot at yours,” the POTUS said to Colbert, then telling him to get out of his was, as he sat down at the anchor desk and took over Colbert’s “The Word” segment, renaming it “The Decree.”
