Sherri Shepherd has joined the cast of Fox’s freshman drama Rosewood in a major recurring role. She will play Dr. Anita Eubanks, the new ME who is confident, flirty, playful, smart, wise-cracking and good at her job. An old friend of Rosewood (Morris Chestnut), with whom she unabashedly flirts, Anita does a favor for him and provides him with some unexpected information.
Rosewood, which has a full-season 22-episode order, airs its fall finale this Wednesday, December 2. The series is produced by 20th TV.
Former View co-host Shepherd returned to the ABC daytime talk show this season as a contributor. As an actress, she has been recurring on the TV Land comedy series The Soul Man, which was picked up for a fifth and final season, and next will be seen in Ride Along 2. Shepherd is repped by ICM Partners and Darris Hatch Management.
