Posted May 31, 2016

Comedian Russell Peters has joined Ed Helms and Amanda Seyfried in the film “The Clapper.”

Dito Montiel is writing and directing the comedy with Helms and Mike Falbo producing through their Pacific Electric shingle. Robin Schorr is also producing.

The movie follows a professional “infomercial clapper” who gets plucked by a late-night talk show to host his own TV series. The 15 minutes of fame end up costing him his job, as well as a budding relationship with a girl who works at a gas station.

Peters was most recently voiced the character Rocky the Rhino in Disney’s “The Jungle Book.” He is repped by WME, Paul Canterna, Clayton Peters, and law firm Jacobson, Russell, Saltz, Nassim & De La Torre.
