One of the biggest rumors we heard this week (from several people) is that comedian Kevin Hart is going to host the MTV Awards! This comes as amazing news to us because he didn’t host the 2012 BET Awards this year when many expected he would (it was eventually hosted by Samuel L. Jackson). As you all know last year the 2011 BET Awards was one of the most watched Awards Shows ever in their broadcast history.
Anyway, word is that Hart is looking to do other things that will continue to keep his brand fresh and he’s not into doing things that will make people lose interest. For example he is currently filming some footage for his new concert stand up film, the Let Me Explain Tour. So we expect him to turn this up a notch as he will be in front of a whole new type of audience. Stay tuned to see if this rumor becomes a fact as the official announcement will be made within the next week or so.
