In a weekend that took all of the so-called Hollywood insiders and critics by surprise, the comedy film Ride Along starring Kevin Hart and Ice Cube made box office history!
As of this writing, the Universal film is making history by becoming the best performance of all time for the long Martin Luther King Jr. holiday with an estimated box office of at least 47.1 million this weekend- and by the end of the morning on Monday we hear it could be more. The final numbers end Sunday with a three-day gross of at least $41.2 million and is expected to hit $48 million or more for the four-days. We hear that the final numbers for the long holiday weekend will be released Monday morning.
As of this writing, we are sure when Monday morning rolled around, the Tim Story directed film will have many wondering if there is a possibility of a sequel.
