Find out some of the inside scoops from legends like Flip Wilson, Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Cedric The Entertainer, and Jamie Foxx in the following interview we conducted with comedic “handler” Rashion Khan, who started in the comedy business many, many, years ago with comedy legend Flip Wilson. Khan gives us some insight on how- and what- Flip Wilson thought about his comedy act Geraldine (which is his female impersonation that probably started the comedians dressing up like women on camera). Before Tyler Perry’s Madea, before Jamie Foxx’s Wanda, and before Martin Lawrence’s Sheneneh there was Geraldine. Khan tells of how Geraldine was born and what Wilson did when the cameras stopped rolling while he still kept on the wig.
Khan also opened up about Richard Pryor’s infamous accident where he set himself on fire as Khan was there during the accident. Khan tells of Pryor’s thoughts at the time- his state of mind during the incident, and what events immediately followed.
The interview also discloses more info as Khan talks about Ray Charles and Jamie Foxx and so much more. Check out the complete interview!
