The rumors of Regina Hall landing in the new Scary Movie 5 film franchise are starting to heat up, especially since actress Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical star) has signed on to be the female lead. According to our sources, since it’s still pretty unclear if actress Anna Faris will reprise her role of Cindy Campbell (which she has played in the previous four flicks) the producers want to try and lock in as many familiar faces as possible, starting with Hall.
As we previously reported, Malcolm Lee is on to direct.
Now expect the rumors of Anthony Anderson and Kevin Hart to heat up and possibly be back on board for the genre spoof.
We were told the latest film will apparently target psychological thrillers like Black Swan and will portray the story of three dancers – two new and one veteran who are vying for the leading role in a stage show, according to Deadline.
