Jimmy Martino is about to get a Scary new girlfriend.
Think Like a Man star and Scary Movie vet Regina Hall has signed up for a recurring role on Grandfathered as the love interest for the reforming bachelor played by John Stamos, EW has learned exclusively.
Hall, whose TV credits include Ally McBeal and Law & Order: Los Angeles, will make her first appearance on the Fox comedy this spring. Her character, Catherine, is described as a confident, successful, intimidating CEO of a tech company, and Jimmy crosses paths with her at her book signing, which Gerald (Josh Peck) dragged him to.
This character represents another obstacle for a decades-later romantic reunion between Jimmy and Sara (Paget Brewster), who will soon get a love interest in the form of a hipster musician named Craig (Michael Trucco).
Hall will be back on the big screen next year in The Best Man Holiday and When the Bough Breaks.
Grandfathered’s guest list also includes Dr. Phil, Drake Bell, Richie Sambora, Andy Daly, and Full House alums Bob Saget and Dave Coulier.
