Several months ago we told you that R&B star John Legend was moving ahead in the comedy arena with several projects, but at that time it was unknown what the projects were. His production company known as Get Lifted Film Company was quietly having meetings in and around Hollywood and we heard several instances where things were moving forward to develop a TV series for both cable and/or broadcast networks but nothing ever happened. Or so we thought.
Today news dropped that Legend FOX has purchased a comedy project which is about a guy (in his early 20s) who becomes the guardian to his own siblings, while having to manage his fledgling career as well as a social life. We hear that the show is supposed to be loosely based on John Legend’s younger years.
Interesting.
Anyway, the show will be written by Tommy Dewey & Greg Bratman, and Legend’s team consisting of Mike Jackson and Ty Stiklorious, along with Katherine Pope and Peter Chernin.
