Producer Will Packer Lands New Comedy 'Like Father, Like Son' On NBC!

Posted Oct 14, 2014

Will PackerBuilding off the success of the recent films “No Good Deed” and “Ride Along,” producer Will Packer has turned his sights to television, where he’s developing an autobiographical comedy for NBC, entitled “Like Father, Like Son.”

The series, written by Michael Pennie (“Raising Hope“), is inspired by events from Packer’s life, and centers on a recently divorced man in his early thirties who is just starting to enjoy the benefits of being young, successful and single when he learns he has a fifteen-year-old son from a one-night-stand he had in college.

NBC has a first-look deal on the half-hour comedy produced by Will Packer Productions and Universal TV. This is Packer’s third foray into television, after the disputed “Uncle Buck” remake at ABC and #PeopleAreTalking at NBC.
