The career for actress Paula Patton just keeps on picking up steam!
We hear that not only has she locked in the new film Jumping The Broom with Angela Bassett and Mike Epps, and the other film titled This Wedensday, which she recently signed on to star in, but we also hear that she is coming to television in the hit NBC series Law & Order: SVU as a new Assistant District Attorney.
Today we received several reports, and it was confirmed by the trades that Patton had been in talks to join the cast, executive producer Neal Baer then confirmed that Patton has officially signed on.
Patton will play the show’s new assistant district attorney Mikki Von.
Mikki, who is described as “charming and savvy,” follows the departure of former ADA Alexandra Cabot (Stephanie March), and for a split second last season, Jo Marlowe, played by Sharon Stone.
The new season of Law & Order: SVU will premiere on Sept. 23 on NBC.
