According to media reports, it seems that Oprah Winfrey has set up a new project with HBO titled Moody Bitches.
Reports are that the comedy series, which is based on the upcoming book Moody Bitches: The Truth About the Drugs You’re Taking, the Sex You’re Not Having, The Sleep You’re Missing and What’s Really Making You Crazy by Dr. Julie Holland, is said to be written by Juno writer Diablo Cody.
This is the latest in a series of collaborations between HBO and Winfrey, whose Harpo Studios has a long-term deal to develop movies, miniseries, documentaries, and scripted series for HBO. Harpo recently produced These Things Happen, a modern family comedy, and an as-yet-untitled drama about the first Black president of a prestigious university.
Cody, an Oscar-winning screenwriter, recently released her directorial debut Paradise, starring Julianne Hough and Octavia Spencer.
No further details are available about Moody Bitches.
