This was Chris Rock’s fourth album and fourth HBO special simultaneously. Never Scared was taped at Washington DC’s DAR Constitution Hall March 24-26 in 2004. Once it aired on HBO, the DVD version dropped August 31st. The 25 track album came out six months later offering the jokes and added bonus of recorded music, parodies and skits. Rock intertwines the themes of “Tip Your Hat to Whitey” and “Thug Radio” throughout the CD and collaborates with rapper Lil’ Jon on “Get Lower”. It’s a hilarious roller coaster ride of comedy with the track titles setting you up for the trip:
