It looks like actor Morris Chestnut is back in the news again. As we previously reported, Morris dropped in the new comedy film titled ID Theft, which stars Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy. We also discovered recently that he has landed in two more new films, and it even looks like he is about to start landing more lead roles!
The first film is we hear that Morris has landed in is from Sony titled The Hive; Mo has the male lead opposite actress Halle Berry! The film is to be directed by Brad Anderson, which co-stars Abigail Breslin. Principal photography has already begun.
What’s The Hive about?
Set against the backdrop of a 911 call center, this fast-paced suspense pic will find Berry playing a 911 emergency operator who takes a call from a teenage girl (Breslin) who has been abducted and carried away in the trunk of a car. Berry’s character must face her own fears in order to save the teenage girl from a disturbed killer. The kidnapping plays out in real time as the pair work together to track down the killer.
The second film, a comedy, is Kick-Ass 2, playing the guardian for the character played by Chloe Moretz. We will have more details on that role soon.
