Morgan Freeman To Star In New Film Titled ‘Cold Warriors’!

Morgan Freeman has come aboard Millennium Entertainment’s Cold Warriors with director Raja Gosnell attached to direct. The spy action/comedy is about a retired CIA agent who enlists the help of his video game programmer stepson to finish a Cold War era mission.

The production company is currently looking to cast the stepson role, described as gamer who forgoes a video game conference in Paris to join a search after he discovers that his stepfather (Freeman) is a former CIA agent. The storyline is Takenmeets Get Smart, hence Gosnell who has directed a string of comedies. Todd Berger (Happytime Murders) scripted.

Producing Cold Warriors is Robin Schorr, Lori McCreary via Freeman’s Revelations Entertainment and Millennium’s Mark Gill. Millennium’s Avi Lerner is executive producing.

London Has Fallen, Freeman’s next picture, which was produced at Millennium, will be released next March from Focus Features but spots are already running on TV for it featuring Freeman prominently. He also will be seen in the epic remake of Ben-Hurat Paramount and is in post on Going In Style for New Line Cinema.

Freeman is repped by CAA; Gosnell by WME.
