Yesterday we discovered from our sources more details that the TV One Network is planning for the new Bernie Mac: A Tribute to a Comedy King.
As we told you previously, TV One released news from their upfronts about the new Bernie Mac project, but not too much was stated at that press conference. Recently we discovered that the show for Bernie Mac is set to be filmed in front of a studio audience of Mac’s peers with celebrities who have worked with him celebrating his life in comedy and in Hollywood. This show would also highlight all of Mac’s likes that flew under the radar with things such as his favorite band while also having these celebrities talk about his other ‘likes’.
The taping will be Executive Produced by Carl Craig, who is probably best known for producing The Players Club, House Party 3, TV One’s Who’s Got Jokes? and most recently K-Ci & Jo-Jo; Come Clean.
Unlike the documentary that was recently released about Bernie Mac titled I Ain’t Scared of You: A Tribute to Bernie Mac this live taping would have all of his friends and family in one room, paying homage to one of The Kings Of Comedy.
