We just discovered that BET Networks announced yesterday in a press release that they will be back in Atlanta for their 2010 Hip Hop Awards show. This will be their 2nd year here in the Hip Hop capital of the world, which we all know by now is the ATL. We also hear that comedian/actor Mike Epps will host the award ceremony slated to air October 12th on BET.
Nominations for the 2010 BET Hip Hop Awards were revealed late Tuesday and Mizay Entertainment’s (M.E.) Waka Flocka Flame, is up for honors. Waka Flocka has two nods in the following categories: Rookie of the Year and Best Club Banger for the street anthem “O Let’s Do It.”
BET Hip Hop Awards 2010 will take place at the Atlanta Civic Center on Saturday, October 2 and Premieres on BET Tuesday, October 12 at 8:00 p.m.
