Mike Epps Lands On Being Mary Jane And New Show 'Survivor’s Remorse' By Lebron James!

Posted Mar 28, 2014

According to several industry insiders, we discovered the news that comedian Mike Epps is about to join two shows this upcoming season; Being Mary Jane and Survivor’s Remorse on Starz.

We hear that on the hit BET show Being Mary Jane, Epps is set up to play the character named Chris Warren, who we hear is a husband and a father who is in a great marriage, something Mary Jane (Gabrielle Union) covets badly. Word is that she may try to pry him away from his marriage.

In the Starz’s scripted comedy series titled Survivor’s Remorse, the show is set in the world of professional basketball. We are introduced and we follow superstar Cam Calloway (actor Jessie T. Usher), a basketball phenom in his early 20s who is thrust into the limelight after signing a multimillion-dollar contract with a pro team.

Cam, along with his cousin and confidant Reggie Vaughn (RonReaco Lee), move to Georgia to start Cam’s journey to success.

Epps landed the coveted role of Cam’s uncle Julius, and we hear his character moved from the projects to an Atlanta mansion with his family after Cam gets a big pro contract. Although Uncle Julius loves the perks of success, he still tries to keep the family on point with his guidance and wisdom.

Survivor’s Remorse, is Executive Produced by NBA star LeBron James and Mike O’Malley and is currently in production with a fall premiere timetable.
