According to the industry website Deadline, it seems that comedians Katt Williams and Mike Epps are about to land in another feature together titled Blazin’ Four!
The film Blazin Four is said to be an action styled comedy film that is said to be similar to the comedy classic Blazin’ Sadlles and “revolves around a ragtag quartet of gunslingers hired to protect a small town from marauding Mexican bandits.” The great news about the film is that the brain trust behind the film Takers, John Luessenhop and Gabriel Casseus, who produced the film optioned the project and will produce this new film.
The report also states that Epps is set to play Noah, a rather lowlife preacher who takes the job on in the hopes of finding redemption as Williams is El Loco, the menacing leader of the Mexican bandits. Found as a baby on a Mexican family’s doorstep, El Loco has no idea he is black — and none of his bandits has the nerve to tell him.
According to our sources, we hear that there are several key players interested and it will be no surprise to us if we later hear that one of the players is Lionsgate and the other Screen Gems. We will see real soon.
