After nearly 20 years and after many starts and stops by Dimension Films which now is under Paramount, it seems that The Scary Movie franchise is about to get underway. Today the announcement was made by Marlon Wayans on Instagram. See the post below;
Since the announcement was made and written with The Wayans being officially back, we can assume that Keenen Ivory Wayans will direct and that Shawn and Marlon will probably write. No word yet if any other family members will be involved or if any of the other members of the cast will return such as Regina Hall or Anna Faris, the driving female lead actors of the franchise.
