LL Cool J Developing New Comedy Titled ‘Brotherhood’ At CBS!

Posted Oct 26, 2016

CBS is furthering the relationship with one of the network’s biggest stars: LL COOL J.

The rapper, actor and host — who stars on “NCIS: LA” and has hosted the Grammy Awards many times for the network — is stepping behind the camera to produce a scripted CBS comedy.

Titled “Brotherhood,” the series, based on the U.K. format of the same name, follows two brothers who find their lives turned upside down when they have to move in together to raise their 10-year-old brother. The project hails from “Friends” alum Michael Borkow, who is adapting the British series and will serve as executive producer with LL COOL J, Kenton Allen, Matthew Justice.

CBS Television Studios is behind “Brotherhood,” which is in early development.

The project marks LL COOL J’s first-ever executive producer credit, and his first scripted series that he’s worked on behind the scenes. He’s a producer on Spike TV’s unscripted hit “Lip Sync Battle,” which he hosts.

LL COOL J, Borkow and Big Talk, the U.K. banner behind the original series, are repped by WME.
