As I was in my car this morning I was listening to the Tom Joyner Morning Show. Sherri Shepherd was bringing the funny alongside her fellow comedian/actress, Kym Whitley. Then out of no where, Kim Whitley drops the news that she has received a Daytime Emmy nomination for her role on the web-based series The Bay. Whitley picked up the nod for “Outstanding Supporting or Guest Actress in a Digital Daytime Drama Series” for her role as Big Candi.
In true Kym Whitley fashion, when Sybil asked her to give the listeners a little dose of why she received the nomination, Whitley went into character delivering a classic line from the show when she seductively whispered, “Do you like Candi?” It was funny but it was one of those moments you had to be there.
We just want to congratulate Kym Whitley for the nomination. Nice!
