Since the abrupt closing of the Laff House last July, multiple parties have tried different methods to making up for the void left in Philly Comedy. Although its closing has been a drastic hit to our scene, it has brought some to innovate new methods of producing live comedy in our city.
I’m extremely excited to be the first to bring you all the news that comedy superstar and Philadelphia Native Kevin Hart has announced that he will be adding a brand new, state-of-the-art comedy club to his list of major contributions to the city of Philadelphia.
“I love my city, and to be able to contribute something as important as a new comedy club to it is something I could only have dreamed about when I started as a young comedian all those years ago. Philly, I love you! Get ready for Kev Hart’s comedy club to open next spring!”
As for now, few details about Kevin Hart’s new comedy club haven’t been released, but as previously stated, it is planned for an official opening in the Spring of 2015. Keep up to date with all released details on this site.
