We here at the Humor Mill have landed an EXCLUSIVE! After years of being behind the scenes writing for other comedians, comedian, writer, and director David A Arnold is finally stepping into the spotlight with his own TV show, which received a 10 episode order at Black Entertainment Television!
To top it off, we even hear that the show will be Executive Produced by comedy superstar Kevin Hart! As you already know, Hart is the Executive Producer of BET’s hit show Real Husbands Of Hollywood and Comedy Central’s Hart Of The City, and he has more TV projects on the way, but it looks like the focus right now will be the new show from Arnold.
Speaking of Arnold, the show, titled “Divorce Saved My Marriage” is a half hour comedy about a couple that decides after 17 years, their marriage is over. But because David is a nurse and Regina is a stay at home Mom raising teenage twins, they’re too broke to afford a divorce. But that won’t stop them! They agree to work together as a family and save enough money, so they can finally be apart.
“Divorce Saved My Marriage” is from writer/producers, Devon Shepard and Dave Becky, (who brought you “Weeds,” “House of Lies” and “Insecure”) is based on the stand-up comedy of funny man David A. Arnold, comes a comedy about marriage and relationships like you’ve never seen before!
