We just discovered that comedian Kevin Hart just wrapped up a historic 2 day performance at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live. Kevin set 2 day live gate gross record for an African American comedian that has not been achieved since Eddie Murphy! The show sold over 12,000 tickets and the two day gross surpassed 1.1 Million Dollars in ticket sales. No African American comedian since Murphy has surpassed 1 million dollars in live gate sales in two days.
The show was promoted and produced by Shaq & Codeblack Entertainment further solidifies Shaq’s All Star Comedy brand as the premier brand in urban comedy. The show was filmed in front of a live audience as well co-directed by Kevin Hart and will be released theatrically through Codeblack Entertainment.
Kevin also unveiled a sneak preview of his iPhone / Ipad application which features a kevin Hart Jumpman game. Our sources tell us the app will be launching in the spring.
