Montreal, PQ — Comedy superstar Kevin Hart teams up with Just For Laughs to present Kevin Hart’s Laugh Out Loud Network Pitch Panel, which invites creators to pitch their best pilot ideas for a shot at fame and maybe… just maybe… a slot on Hart’s Laugh Out Loud comedy platform. Kevin Hart’s Laugh Out Loud Network Pitch Panel takes place Thursday, July 28 at 1 pm, Hyatt Regency Montreal, Grand Salon Opera. The one-hour panel kicks off Just For Laughs ComedyPRO, the four-day comedy conference that runs parallel to the enormously successful Just For Laughs Festival.
Comedians, writers, producers and creators are invited to submit a one-page outline to industry@hahaha.com by Wednesday, July 13. Up to 10 finalists will be selected to present, and each finalist will have two minutes to pitch their idea to Kevin and his team. Kevin will provide feedback on the ideas presented… and put his money where his mouth is!
Laugh Out Loud is an over-the-top streaming service; a partnership between Hartbeat Digital and Lionsgate. The service will officially launch first quarter of 2017. It will house original unscripted and scripted series along with shows featuring up-and-coming comedians and social media stars.
Kevin Hart is one of comedy’s biggest stars with a celebrated and award-winning career that has seen the talented entertainer become one of the industry’s most important and influential voices. Hart has had a long association with Just For Laughs, which he credits with helping launch his career. He has been a regular at the festival since debuting at “New Faces” in 2001. His last appearance was in 2015 when he sold out the Bell Centre on his “WHAT NOW?” tour, making it the festival’s biggest single indoor event ever. A respected standup comedian as well as an actor, Hart has appeared in several Hollywood blockbusters including The Wedding Ringer, Ride Along and Ride Along 2, Get Hard and Central Intelligence. His latest movie, The Secret Life of Pets, opens July 8, 2016 in the U.S.
