Kenan Thompson Leaving Saturday Night Live, Lands New NBC Comedy!

Posted Nov 20, 2012

We just discovered that comedic actor Kenan Thompson, probably best known for his Nickelodeon show Kenan & Kel and his prime time player role in NBC’s Saturday Night Live is leaving his gig at SNL. Reports have surfaced that he has secured a new NBC gig as they are developing a prime time comedy for his with SNL Executive Producer Lorne Michaels.

Since those reports surfaced, we have discovered that Thompson is definitely leaving SNL and would be set up for his new comedy on NBC for fall of 2013. The new comedy would star Thompson as a man who moves in with his in-laws and everything that can happen with his moving in happens.

We hear that writer Bryan Tucker (of SNL), is writing the script and will executive produce with Thompson, Michaels and Andrew Singer (of 30 Rock fame).
