“Key and Peele’s” Keegan-Michael Key and Regina Hall are set to join the cast of New Line’s “Vacation” reboot.
Ed Helms, Christina Applegate, Chris Hemsworth and Leslie Mann are also on board.
“Horrible Bosses” scribes John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein are set to make their feature directorial debut from a script they penned.
The new version of the Griswold’s “Vacation” adventures will follow grown-up son (Helms) who has the perfect surprise for his wife, Debbie (Applegate), and two sons: the cross-country trip of a lifetime, reminiscent of the fun-filled excursion he took as a kid. They’re going to Walley World, America’s greatest amusement park.
Hall and Key will play family friends of the Griswolds that are described as “the perfect family.”
David Dobkin is producing through his David Dobkin Prods. along with Chris Bender. Jeff Kleeman and Marc Fischer are exec producing.
Key can still be seen in “Key and Peele” on Comedy Central and was also featured on FX’s “Fargo.” Hall was last seen in “Think Like a Man Too.”
