According to several Atlanta news media outlets, comedian Katt Williams, who has been in and out of jail this year, has been formally charged in connection with two incidents in Hall County, Georgia.
Since February, Williams has had multiple run-ins with the law.
They include:
— a Feb. 29 arrest after a Gainesville pool supply store employee told police Williams punched him during an argument.
— a March 8 arrest after he allegedly threatened to kill his bodyguard, also in Hall County;
— a March 11 arrest following accusations he attacked and stole cellphones from several women in Atlanta;
— a March 30 arrest over a public altercation with a teen in Gainesville that was caught on video and went viral;
— and an April 27 arrest after he allegedly threw a salt shaker at the manager of Spondivits restaurant in East Point.
Solicitor General Stephanie Woodard formally charged Williams in connection with the alleged incidents with the pool supply store employee and the teen, the Gainesville Times reported.
The charges — battery, hindering a 911 call and disorderly conduct — were filed in State Court, which traditionally handles misdemeanor cases, the newspaper reported.
Williams is out on bond.
