With all of the buzz surrounding Jordan Peele’s social thriller, “Get Out” igniting a discourse on the underlying dynamics of race, particularly involved in romantic relationships, in America, it was only a matter of time before the Trump/Kanye analogies came of it. A mash up video stitching some of the President and his daughter, Ivanka’s famous moments covering race and relationships, into scenes from the movie, began trending on Monday, March 6, and it is quickly becoming a favorite share.
“I am the least racist person that you have ever met,” Trump says after Ivanka introduces Daniel Kaluuya’s character to him. She had just gotten through explaining her early fears of bringing her boyfriends to meet her billionaire alpha dad, as was the case with Allison Williams’ character in the film.
One of those boyfriends, viewers soon learn, turns out to be Kanye, who fills the role of Keith Stanfield’s character in a manner that will hit home with Ye’s day one’s who have for some time now lamented that they “miss the old Kanye.”
