Jet Li Drops A New Action Comedy & Is Headed Back To The U.S., Is A Kevin Hart Buddy Film On The Horizon?

Posted Jul 3, 2013

Jet Li Kevin HartMove over Jackie Chan– here comes Jet Li! According to our sources it looks like Hollywood is about to take a serious look at bringing Jet Li back to the United States, except this time as an action COMEDY star to replace the aging Jackie Chan who became extremely successful with the Rush Hour franchise (which he starred in with comedian Chris Tucker).

Our sources have stated that Jet Li’s new film titled Badges of Fury, a comedy and action film, has just grossed 100 million yuan ($15 million) one week after its June 21st premiere. The film stars Li and rising mainland actor Wen Zhang, as it tells the story of two policemen’s hilarious adventures when investigating a serial killer.

We hear that since the unexpected surprise of the film’s success, talks escalated quickly with the talent agencies to bring Li back to the states and to have him star in a new comedy film with a well known star. No word who that star is just yet.

Wonder who that is going to be… Could it be Kevin Hart?

With everything that is on Hart’s plate right now, (he has at least four more films coming out from Think Like A Man Too and a new Ride Along franchise with Ice Cube) we are not sure that he will be able to do it, but do NOT be surprised if this happens. A film with Jet Li and Kevin Hart COULD happen… Stay tuned…

The story is developing!
