As the biggest sporting event of the decade approaches, details regarding Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao’s highly-anticipated bout are surfacing. First up, if you were curious as to who would hold down national anthem duty at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, look no further than Jamie Foxx. The Oscar and Grammy Award-winning singer has been tapped to open the big fight, according to TMZ.
Ironically, Foxx will soon take the ring in another way as well, as he is set to star in an upcoming biopic based on the life of Mike Tyson. The actor/singer also sang the national anthem at a previous Pacquiao fight back in 2011. Peep footage of his performance below.
Mayweather and Pacquiao will face off this Saturday (May 2).
