It is being reported that comedian and actor Jamie Foxx is coming to television with a brand new crime drama series for TNT! The new show, in early stages of development, is based on an idea from Foxx and former Numbers co-executive produce Robert Port, is titled Hit Squad, and based on two former high school football teammates and best friends — one a QB, one a Wide Receiver -– who years later are “drafted” by the Miami P.D. and assigned to HIT (High Impact Team).
(Sounds like a blend of Any Given Sunday and Miami Vice, but I digress)
The story line of the show is that the same thing that made them unstoppable on the football field makes them great partners taking down the most dangerous criminals in the city.
According to the exclusive from Deadline, Foxx is also Executive Producing this show along with his producing partner Jaime King.
