Several media outlets are reporting today that comedian and actor Jamie Foxx is about to write, direct and Executive Produce a new scripted series for the SyFy Channel under his production banner Foxxhole Productions.
As you may remember, we stated several months ago that Foxx had a strong interest in doing this as he was looking at several projects and more right before he signed on to do the Spider Man sequel.
Anyway, Foxx’s new project, currently-untitled is a 5-episode horror anthology series and will debut on SyFy during their annual 31 Days Of Halloween programming marathon this October.
The series, which is being compared to TV classics like Tales From The Crypt and The Twilight Zone, will tell tales of morality with themes like envy and jealousy.
“This is a project that I’ve wanted to do for a long time and I’m so happy to see it come to life… Get ready to lose it when some special friends and I bring the scares this October, and who knows… maybe I’ll make a guest appearance or two along the way,” said Jamie Foxx.
Foxx is currently filming Spider Man 2 in New York city; he plays the villain Electro.
