Today, SeriousFun Children’s Network (seriousfunnetwork.org) announced that Jamie Foxx and Michael Keaton will join the previously announced all-star lineup for their Los Angeles benefit, which includes performances by Carole King, Jay Leno, Natalie Cole, and Burt Bacharach. Also appearing in the show will be Rene’e Zellweger, Danny DeVito, Annette Bening, and Anjelica Huston. The event titled “An Evening of SeriousFun Celebrating the Legacy of Paul Newman” will be filled with music, comedy and meaningful stories. The event will take place on Thursday, May 14, 2015, at the Dolby Theatre.
The evening will benefit SeriousFun Children’s Network, a growing global community of 30 camps and programs serving children living with serious illnesses and their families, always free of charge. Founded by Paul Newman in 1988, SeriousFun has served more than 600,000 children and family members from more than 50 countries since its inception. Each member camp is an independent not-for-profit organization dependent upon private funding to serve all children at no cost to their families.
Newman’s Own Foundation, SeriousFun’s signature supporter, has been providing generous support to camps and programs around the world since the Network’s inception. Abercrombie & Fitch is the proud corporate sponsor for all three galas.
The Galas will all be produced by Lou Adler and Kevin Duncan. Adler and his wife Page co-founded The Painted Turtle with Newman, the SeriousFun Camp located in Southern California.
Individual show tickets for the Los Angeles Gala may be purchased through Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com or 800-745-3000) and start at only $40. Exclusive benefit tickets, including an after-party, begin at $1,000. To purchase exclusive benefit tickets and for more information, contact Harvin Rogas at(310) 559-9334 or harvin@5Bevents.com.
Funds raised at the galas directly benefit the Network’s camps and programs. Facilities and programming at SeriousFun camps are specially-designed to meet the medical needs of campers, ensuring that all campers can participate in activities, such as soaring down a zip line, exploring ropes courses, cultivating creativity with arts and crafts, bonding over music, and s’mores at campfires.
