We just discovered that NBA superstar Lebron James is moving his way further into the comedy community with plans to launch a comedy tour! Yep, that’s right, word has it that reps of James have been working on plans for this for years, before the Shaq Comedy All Stars debuted and took the wind out of their sails.
We hear that thanks to the success of The Lebrons, (the animated series from James with all of the characters in James’ likeness) and the upcoming sneaker The Lebron X to be distributed by NIKE, the James camp think that this is the perfect time to start the conversations for a comedy tour for next year.
Quick note; The Lebron X sneaker that is set to be released is going to be priced at $315 in most major markets and is going to be the most expensive NIKE sneaker in their history. We are very anxious to see how the marketing camp will spin this, unless its from NIKE (as you know they launched a very funny campaign that featured James with other NBA super star Kobe Bryant).
Anyway, the conversations are in the very early stages and no names are mentioned yet to be on this tour, but by the Spring 2013 that all could change quickly as we hear that the plans are for a Summer 2013 Lebron James Comedy Tour.
