Several months ago we dropped an article about Katt Williams and how it seemed he was starting to sell out arenas all over the country despite his recent issues with several venues/promoters (some no-shows), his police arrests, his run-ins with other comedians, and more.
Around that time we stated that his new tour (titled Growth Spurt) was starting to see an increase in ticket sales and at some venues in certain cities such as Atlanta and Dallas there were not only sell out shows, there were several other shows added on for the weekend performances.
Well, after looking at an email sent to us a couple of days ago about his new HBO special titled Priceless that aired on the 15th and which was directed by Spike Lee, HBO stated that the special was second most watched comedy special premiere in the last 5 years. The only other special that performed better in that time period was Robin Williams’ special titled Weapons of Self Destruction which was viewed by 1.9 million people when it was broadcast in 2009
This news would only coincide with what we have been reporting; it looks like Katt Williams is back!
