Several weeks ago, a midst all of the controversy surrounding Columbus Short departing the hit ABC show Scandal because of alleged domestic abuse with his wife, we heard the rumors that he was going to jump in the comedy arena and do some stand up.
Fast forward about a week after that, and Short hits the stage in Los Angeles on the same night as Dave Chappelle and Katt Williams at The Comedy Store.
Now, we hear more of the same thing happening again; we hear that Short is preparing to do more stand up and that he has some plans with several comedy ventures, and that he’s hosting an event in Dallas this week where he may even showcase more of those skills.
We have reached out to Short’s management to confirm this story and as of this writing no one has responded, but we can say that his event is in Dallas this Thursday at The Candle Room. The promoters are The Party Chasers, a well known brand in the area.
