Actor/comedian Maronzio Vance has booked a series regular role in TV Land’s Lopez,a semi-autobiographical, single camera comedy starring and executive produced by George Lopez. It revolves around America’s most successful Hispanic American comedian (George Lopez) playing himself, and explores how he struggles between his two worlds and crises – often of his own making.
Set to premiere in 2016, the straight-to-series project is based on a pilot script written by Silicon Valley co-creators/executive producers John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky, who write and executive produce. Michael Rotenberg of 3 Arts Entertainment is also executive producing, and Troy Miller serves as producer via Dakota Pictures.
Vance’s credits include a recurring role on Fox’s Enlisted. He also wrote and starred in the network’s pilot remake of In Living Color. Other credits include his own half-hour special for Comedy Central, and appearances on Wanda Sykes: Wanda Does It; Jaime Foxx’s Laffapalooza, and Last Comic Standing. He also performs his stand-up routine in Los Angeles and across the country. He is repped by APA and Myman Greenspan Fineman.
